I live in Nashville suburban , near to a great lakeside park, I see jogging strollers everywhere.
Many parents here seem to use them as their regular stroller for park walks or around neighborhood.
When you have to go out jogging and there’s a baby with you who you have to look after, it can get challenging manage both at the same time.
The Zoom 360 Ultralight by Joovy is the stroller you need because it has been designed with your specific needs in mind.
This stroller is packed with features that facilitate a jogging mom or dad in taking care of their baby without any compromise on their activity of the safety of the baby.
I really know little about jogging stroller so I will do my best to tell you what I know about them.
There are certain features that separate a jogging stroller from a regular one. Here are some highlights.
Features Zoom 360 Ultralight
Weight is a big factor when you are looking at jogging strollers. Not to mention, you want to be able to handle the stroller and maneuver it easily without using too much unnecessary force. Keeping those things in mind, Joovy has managed to keep the weight of this stroller at just 25.7 pounds.
It rolls on three air-filled wheels with 12″ front wheel and 16″ rear wheels. The spokes in the wheels are aluminum. The maneuverability is great! Easy to push and steer with one hand. The tire pump included!
The lockable front wheel
The front wheel on the stroller, which is the smaller one out of the three, swivels to make it easy for you to move the stroller around and turn it. However, it also has a locking system on it that allows you to lock the swiveling.
The seat on Zoom 360 Ultralight is very roomy so your older child will be comfy. The seat is 14″ and supports a child up to 75 lbs comfortably. The cool thing about the seat is that it sits a little higher on the frame than on other joggers so you can use it as a high chair.
5 point harness
It’s adjustable, but there is no padding. The center release buckle is easy to lock and unlock. I really like that the shoulder straps are connected to the waist straps and stay connected when you unlock the buckle. As your child gets older you can separate them and use it as a 3-point harness instead.
Once the seat is reclined you will see mesh window in the back that provides better air circulation and also prevents smaller babies from sliding out of the seat.
One of the challenges that parents face with their children’s strollers is storage space. You already have enough clutter in the house that you can’t find the right place for the stroller. To get you out of this dilemma, Joovy has made this stroller foldable: you just push on a red button underneath the leg rest and pull on the strap till it folds. Easy! You will need both hand to push it together to activate the automatic lock. There is also a standing fold. The folded dimensions are 34″ x 25″ x 19″. The wheels are removable for more compact storage.
There is a zipper pocket on this section allowing parents to hold their valuables like mobiles phones and keys. It can also hold 2 bottles for parents to keep hydrated on the go.
There are two mesh pockets in the seat for your child and one large mesh pocket in the back of the seat for parents. The basket can fit a large diaper bag plus other child’s essentials. it’s very convenient.
The extra large canopy
Joovy has made sure to keep the size of the canopy big enough to protect the child from sun. There is a peek-a-boo window right on top of the canopy so parents can always keep an eye on their resting baby or communicate with them.
Travel system option
You can turn it into a travel system with a purchase of an adapter and for getting out with newborns and infants, take a stroll while they are snuggled in their car seat. The car seat adapters have “click-in” functionality and are available for major brand car seats and sold separately.
Tall handle bar
The handle bar is not adjustable, but is tall at 41″ from the ground. This should be ok for parents that are 5.5″ – 6.1″ tall. Of course you have to be comfortable with the handle bar when jogging. If you are much taller or shorter, test it first. But It’s covered with soft foam which is very nice to the touch.
There there is a one-step foot brake in the back that is not flip-flop-friendly and pretty stiff. I would like to see a hand brake instead because you can use a hand brake to slow down if you going down the hill. The stroller has a strap that attaches to your wrist in case it runs away from you.
The recline is very deep, but you have to adjust a strap on each side to lower it and bring it up. Too much work and there is a bigger chance of waking up your child.
I like the lightweight performance, the suspension will minimize bumps in the roadroomy seat, amazing steering, smooth ride, easy fold, standing fold, high weight limit, extra large canopy, plenty of storage and parent organizer, the air pump, and travel system option. This could be your main stroller not only for jogging.
The Zoom 360 Ultralight by Joovy is an excellent and affordable option for joggers or parents who want to take their strollers offroad for walks on gravel paths or grass. Serious runners may want to pay more for a jogger with hand brakes or a fancier suspension system, but Joovy offers a great all-around jogging stroller for parents looking to stay fit.
This is definitely a highly recommendable product.
Joovy Zoom 360 Ultralight is available in four colors: blue, red, black and grey.
