How many times has happened to stare at the closet and say: “What shall I wear???” I definitely lose count…
This question though inspired Fabrizia Spinelli. She created her blog June, 17th 2011 and she named it like that! Born in 1986, Frabrizia Spinelli had a degree in Politics Science with a specialization in communication technologies.
Today she’s a blogger, a journalist, she handles the rubric “What shall I wear???” on the newspaper IL ROMA, she’s a contributor for GrouponMag and beauty reporter for Glamour.it. She’s a full time mom of a beautiful girl named Camilla.
This is how it was born the interview with Fabrizia Spinelli, for know together what the fashion industry reserves for the next months and why not, with some style lessons.
Fabrizia, What should never miss in a woman and mom’s closet?
F. Should not miss casual clothes as jeans, so that we can play with our kids at the park and we can follow them during their little adventures. Should not either miss elegant and sophisticated clothes that enhance our woman’s figure, as the classic tube dress, high heels, silk shirt and sheath skirt.
Which will be the fashion trends of F/W 2015-2016?
F. Will be back bulky coats, lace, embroidery and clothes over feminine. Tight and high cuissardes will return.
On which accessories a woman should count on?
Every woman is different. Everyone should count on accessory that emphasizes strength for example a showy belt for underline the waist, some marine colors earrings for underline light eyes, a nice necklace to draw the eye on the neckline.
[pullquote width=”300″ float=”left”]Anyway, I think that the best accessories that a woman can wear is a smile and self-confidence.[/pullquote]
For pregnant woman do shopping can be very hard. Which outfit would you suggest for not lose the femininity?
F. Shapes of pregnant women are beautiful and they should focus on clothes that value their body, without forget to be comfort. Comfort is a key requirement that maternity clothes should have. For this period empire-line dresses are perfect, with a cut under the breast; shirt and wide tops combined with pants with elastic bands or leggings. Since I passed through this period of change, where I was always unsure about what to wear, I decided to publish on my blog all my outfits that I wore during the pregnancy. You can find them in a specific category on cosamimetto.net
Which style icons inspired you for your look during this year?
F. I love the Russian style of Miroslava Duma and the elegance of Olivia Palermo.
Which item is fundamental in your opinion? And which accessory?
F. A leather jacket is an item that I love to combine with sports look but also with dresses and chic clothes. And bags of course!
How did you adjust being mom and wife with the blogging job? Can you give us some advice?
F. Fortunately, run a blog is something that you can do from home. This has been the first requirement that allowed me to dedicate my time to my kid without quit my job. During the last months of pregnancy I carried forward with work, creating and preparing subjects to sharing during the first few months. These subjects had been the more challenging and left me just a little time for myself. Then slowly I learned how to pander the baby’s rhythms, how to be a mom and to get my free time and I started to dedicate myself to the blog in a linear way. Of course days with kids are unpredictable and always different so once you got your routine back, it’s good to never leave backlog, better be a step ahead so our job won’t be affect by unforeseen circumstances like a whim, or by feeding/bath time or just by a nice moment between mom and daughter.
Can you dress trendy and at the same time spend a reasonable amount of money?
F. Of course you can. My advice is to invest our budget in iconic clothes, evergreen that we can wear season after season and spend less for seasonal clothes that we are going to forget inside the closet. We can find this kind of clothes in big low cost distribution chains that allow customers to be always trendy in the cheapest way.
Often, due to lack of time, I find myself buy clothes online. What do you think about shopping online? Can you suggest some good website?
F. Online shopping is a really handy and useful service for those who have not enough time for go shopping. One of my favorite sites is Asos, it has lots of fashionable apparel and premaman clothes.
What are your plans for the future?
F. For the moment I am rearranging my personal life. I will move to another city again and after the relocation I will be back to my blog’s projects that I left behind in this past few months.
Thank you to Fabrizia Spinelli for your time and for your great style advice.
